Amy Carlson

 

Amy Lynn Carlson (born July 7th the 7th of July, 1968) is an American actress best known for her performances as Linda Reagan in the CBS police procedural Blue Bloods as Alex Taylor on the NBC drama Third Watch, and Josie Watts in the NBC daytime soap show Another World.



 



 Childhood and early life



 Carlson was born in Elmhurst in Illinois (DuPage County, IllinoisElmhurst, Illinois] which is near Chicago. Her family was raised in Glen Ellyn in Illinois by her parents, Robert Eugene Carlson and Barbara Jane (Hultman), teachers at school. She is of Swedish origin and has roots in Smaland.



 



 Career



 1986-1992: College and early career



 She began her journey to Hollywood as a supporting actor in the film Lucas starring Charlie Sheen and Corey Haim. Then, she joined her sister Betsy (Knox College) to Galesburg.
