Iliza Shlesinger

 Iliza Vie Schlesinger was born February 22, 1983. She is an American actress and comedian. She won the show on NBC's Last Comic Standing 2008 and hosts the dating show syndicated by TBS Excused as well as the TBS show Separation Anxiety.





 Shlesinger hosted Truth & Iliza (Freeform) in 2017 as her own late night talkshow. She has six Netflix comedy specials. In April of 2020, Netflix premiered her sketch comedy series The Iliza Shlesinger Sketch Show.



 Iliza Vie Shlesinger was born in New York City to a Jewish family. She was brought up in Dallas, Texas by her parents, who moved to the city when she was just a baby. She was a student at Addison's private Greenhill School, Texas where she took classes in Spanish and was part of the school's improvisation club.





 Shlesinger performed with ComedySportz Dallas, and studied at the University of Kansas for her freshman year. She also took part in Semester at Sea. She enrolled at Emerson College in Boston, Massachusetts where she studied in film and honed her editing and writing skills and joined one of the campus's comedy sketch groups Jimmy's Traveling All Stars.

 Shlesinger who was a graduate of college, relocated to Los Angeles in order to explore stand-up comedy. She was one of the most popular members of the Whiteboy Comedy group of standup comedians in Los Angeles, which brought her on stage at The Improv in Hollywood.
