Alison Doody
Alison Doody (born 11 November 1966) is an Irish model and actress. She made her movie debut as a Bond actress on the set of A View to a Kill, (1985). Then she was as a character in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in 1989. Doody portrayed Nazi sympathetic archaeologist Elsa Schneider. Siobhan Donnevan's role in A Prayer for the Dying (1997), Charlotte Taffin (1988) as well as Rebecca Flannery Major League II (1994) also play roles. Doody was first introduced to modeling when she was invited by a professional photographer. The result was an enviable modeling career in the commercial world. Doody did not like glamour or nude modeling, which that was carried into her acting. After catching the eye of the casting director for the upcoming James Bond movie, she participated in A View to a Kill as Jenny Flex. Doody was named one of the top twelve promising young actors in the year 1986 in John Willis Screen World. 38. Doody was only 18 years old at the time of her debut in the Bond character. As of today Doody is considered to be the youngest Bond girl. A Prayer for the Dying which starred Mickey Rourke in 1987, was a different early film in which Doody portrayed IRA Siobhan. Doody played Archibald Craven's wife Lilias as he portrayed his fantasy in the 1987 adaptation of The Secret Garden. The episode of the Storyteller Sapsorrow was her debut leading role. It took place in 1988 opposite John Hurt, Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders. She played opposite Pierce Brosnan in the film Taffin (1988) before she took possibly her most famous role to date as Austrian Archaeologist and Nazi-sympathiser the Dr. Elsa Schneider in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade playing opposite Harrison Ford. Doody acted in the film with Sean Connery, who played Indiana Jones' father. Doody starred alongside Jonathan Pryce as Hitler Diaries the British mini-series inspired by Hitler Diaries. Following her move to Hollywood Doody was famous. She was chosen to succeed Cybill Shepherd as spokeswoman for L'Oreal she was later chosen to perform alongside Charlie Sheen in 1994's Major League II in the role of Flannery the agent's girlfriend. Doody made her acting comeback in 2003 with a minor performance as a character in The Actors, a British comedy film The Actors, in which Michael Caine played herself at the awards ceremony. in 2004, Doody starred alongside Patrick Swayze alongside a TV adaptation to King Solomon's Mines. Also, she appeared in Benjamin's Struggle (2005), which was a pamphlet that described the Holocaust. Doody appeared in Danny Dyer 2010's The Rapture. In the following year, she was a guest in RTE's medical thriller The Clinic. She was also set to appear in the remake of the horror movie The Asphyx. However, this project fell through. In 2011, she started the first of two seasons on E4 comedy drama Beaver Falls playing Pam Jefferson. In 2014, she was a part of We Still Kill the Old Way. The Almeria Tierra de Film Award was given to her on November 21 in 2018. She also received one of the stars on the Almeria Walk of Fame.
